Nina started CrossFit in 2012. After spending years running to keep fit but not seeing results, and subsequently finding lifting weights at the gym boring, Nina signed up for a morning bootcamp that introduced the CrossFit movements and from there she was hooked. Nina interned and coached for two years at another CrossFit Box in Auckland, including running the Beginner On-Ramp classes. After taking a break to focus on life (and fit some training in), Nina is looking forward to being a part of new members journeys and will be taking our On-Ramp sessions as well as few night classes. "I love the challenge and diversity CrossFit brings to training. It is no longer a chore and becomes a hobby. I look forward to being apart of the awesome community, which I am sure that CrossFit Onehunga will become. To be honest, I believe part of what makes me a good coach is that I am not some kind of freak of nature that picks things up easily, I have to work hard to get better and therefore have studied all the progressions to help members move more efficiently and get better. My favourite part of coaching is witnessing someone do something they never believed they could do."

Head Coach ., Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Sport and Recreation: Double Major Exercise Science/ Nutrition and Health Crossfit Level 1 Certificate
Cam played Rugby throughout College, using a commercial gym for training. For the first two years of university, Cam found Crossfit football online and started regularly following as much of the programme as possible using the commercial gym he was at. Shortly after a local Crossfit box was found and he was hooked! Cam's talent was spotted early and he started interning almost immediately at the CrossFit Box he began training at. He completed his Level 1 Cert in San Fransisco and had the opportunity to coach at CrossFit Norcal for three weeks alongside the infamous Pat Barber and Jason Kalipa. Cam is passionate about strength training, competitive CrossFit and specialised programming. Cam is our Head Coach and will be running classes, coaching interns and completing the programming for our CrossFit sessions.

OneHQFit Coach: Level 1 Crossfit Trainer Certificate
Until 2012 Kirk had only dabbled in sport through inline hockey. Wanting to get in shape for his wedding, Kirk got himself involved in a local bootcamp. After a while Kirk found himself really enjoying the sessions however wanted to add strength training to his program. After doing some research on different styles of training, in 2013 Kirk joined up to a local Crossfit gym. Since then, Kirk has been hooked, competing in Crossfit competitions, running his own outdoor bootcamp sessions and being heavily involved in the Crossfit community. Kirk will be running our OneHQFit sessions throughout the week, adding another membership option for our members who want more of a cardio/ low weight based training routine.
